Hvíta húsið - Collaborative work

Soffia working with watercolor on paper.

We have stayed at "Hvíta húsið" at Snæfellsnes two times this year, in February and in September, working on our exhibition "Above and Below the Horizon" that will be in Listasafn Reykjaness in November 2016. It is great to be able to stay at a place like that, working together, exploring different aspects of the way we work, influencing each other and enjoying the beautyful nature in Snæfellsnes.

In May, Phyllis arrived from Boston for our working process. She stayed a few days, we did some sightseeing in Reykjanes, looked at great art, worked on our collaborative piece. We also went to the Museum to talk to our Curator, Inga Þórey Jóhannesdóttir and look at the space.

What to choose....?

Listasafn Reykjaness is a great space and it was wonderful to meet with Valgerður, the Museum director and Inga Þórey who is the curator for the show. Kind of hard to imagine our work in there.
